Amazon Echo Dot Max and Echo Studio with Dolby Atmos, Alexa+ support launched in India

Amazon has launched its new Echo smart speakers, the Echo Dot Max and Echo Studio, in India after their global debut last year. The latest smart speakers feature upgraded audio components, integrated smart home hub capabilities, support for advanced connectivity standards, and enhanced home entertainment features.

Echo Dot Max

The Echo Dot Max is Amazon’s newest addition to the Echo Dot series and comes equipped with a redesigned two-way speaker setup. It features a high-excursion woofer for enhanced bass output along with a custom tweeter that delivers clearer high-frequency sound.

According to Amazon, the speaker offers nearly three times more bass compared to the Echo Dot (5th Gen). The updated internal structure also doubles the available air space over the previous generation, helping improve bass response and overall efficiency.

The speaker is engineered to automatically optimize audio performance based on room acoustics. It is also the first Echo Dot speaker to feature a built-in smart home hub.

Echo Studio

The Echo Studio comes with support for room-adapting spatial audio and Dolby Atmos technology. It features a high-excursion woofer paired with three strategically positioned full-range drivers to deliver expansive sound with improved clarity and depth. Amazon has also introduced a compact spherical design wrapped in a 3D knit fabric finish that maintains acoustic transparency.

Both the Echo Dot Max and Echo Studio feature built-in Alexa support, allowing users to control music playback, podcasts, audiobooks, smart home devices, alarms, timers, weather updates, and shopping lists using voice commands. The speakers also support popular streaming platforms such as Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, JioSaavn, and Audible.

Additionally, the devices are designed to support Alexa+, Amazon’s generative AI-powered assistant, once it becomes available in India.
