Apple iPhone 16e launched, Starting at Rs.59,900 in India with 6.1-inch OLED display, A18 chip, Apple C1 modem
Apple has officially launched its latest samrtphone in the iPhone 16 series, the iPhone 16e in India, replacing the iPhone SE as anticipated. This new model succeeds the iPhone SE introduced in 2022 and features a larger 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a notch, integrating Face ID through the TrueDepth camera system, eliminating the need for Touch ID.
It runs on the A18 chip, which replaces the A15 Bionic, the iPhone 16e includes a 16-core neural engine optimized for running large generative models and is built on second-generation 3nm technology. With this upgrade, the SE model now supports Apple Intelligence. Additionally, it introduces the Action button, enabling quick access to various functions with a simple press.
The device also debuts Apple's first in-house 5G modem, the C1, featuring an entirely new internal design. In select regions, it supports satellite-based services such as Emergency SOS, Roadside Assistance, Messages, and Find My via satellite.
For photography, the iPhone 16e sports a single 48MP rear camera with a larger f/1.6 aperture, optical image stabilization, and a 2x "optical-quality" Telephoto option. The front camera has been upgraded to a 12MP sensor with an ƒ/1.9 aperture.
While Wi-Fi 6 support remains, the device boasts a larger battery, and combined with the A18 chip and advanced power management, it promises significantly improved battery life. The iPhone 16e also retains an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Pricing and Availability -
The iPhone 16e comes in Black and White, and it will be available in more than 59 countries and regions, including India from Friday, February 21st and will roll out starting from February 28th.
