Apple sells 9 Million iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c on opening weekend, compared to the 5 Million iPhone 5 sold lat year

There you have it, Apple has sold more then 9 Million iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c in its opening weekend. Its not just an extraordinary figure, but compared to the iPhone 5 last year which sold 5 Million in its opening weekend, its really mind-boggling. Although, as always Apple has not released individual sales figure the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c but according to several analysts the iPhone 5s seems to be the choice across the board. This can also be seen as the iPhone 5c remains to be available for 24 hour shipment at your behest in any color, the iPhone 5s shipment dates have into vague October dates.

Alongwith sales figures Apple also reported that 200 Million devices were now running iOS7 which makes it their "fastest software update in history". One thing to note here is that the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c both also debuted in China the same week, where the iPhone 5 saw total sales of over 200 million. Therefore this must have considerably added to the total sales of the new iPhones.
