CMF Buds 2 launched with 11mm Drivers, up to 48dB Hybrid ANC, up to 55h total playback
CMF by Nothing has quietly launched its latest earbuds, the CMF Buds 2 in the US, Europe, and UK markets ahead of their official India debut on April 28th, where they will be introduced alongside the Buds 2a and Buds 2 Plus. It features Bluetooth v5.4, touch and tap controls, customizable EQ settings, Dual Device Connection, and built-in ChatGPT integration via the Nothing X app.
The CMF Buds Pro 2 showcase a sleek design and feature a customizable Smart Dial for volume and playback control, though the dial itself is not transparent. Users can personalize the dial’s functions through the Nothing X app, enabling options like noise cancellation control, Voice Assistant activation, Low Lag Mode, and more.
While the CMF Buds 2 come equipped with a single 11mm PMI (Polymethacrylimide) driver—unlike the dual drivers in the Pro variant—they still include Ultra Bass Technology 2.0 and Spatial Audio Effect. However, they are limited to SBC and AAC codecs.
The CMF Buds Pro 2 offer Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation up to 48 dB and support a wide frequency range of up to 5200 Hz. The Smart Active Noise Cancellation adapts in real time to reduce noise leakage. For call clarity, they use six HD microphones along with Clear Voice Technology 3.0 and Wind-Noise Reduction 3.0.
Battery life is impressive, offering up to 55 hours of total playback, with just 10 minutes of charging delivering up to 7.5 hours of use. Gaming Mode activates Low Lag Mode (<110ms latency) automatically when used with CMF or Nothing Phones, and generally reduces latency by 50–100ms, compatible across all smartphones.
