CMF Buds Neo launched in India at Rs. 1,999 with up to 35dB ANC, up to 52h total battery life
CMF by Nothing has launched its latest budget-friendly TWS earbuds, the CMF Buds Neo in India, following its earlier announcement. Designed as an entry-level true wireless stereo (TWS) offering, the earbuds combine CMF’s distinctive industrial design with everyday audio performance and noise cancellation features.
Design and Build
The CMF Buds Neo feature a geometric square-shaped charging case with a contrasting circular dial and an integrated lanyard hole. The earbuds come with an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, while the charging case is rated IPX2.
Acoustics and Audio Features
The earbuds are equipped with a 12.4mm dynamic driver featuring a titanium-coated PET dome and a flexible PEEK + PU surround. Audio features include:
- Audio Processing: Supports static spatial audio along with AAC and SBC Bluetooth codecs.
- Equalisation: Offers six preset sound profiles, including Immersion Boost, Pop, Rock, Electronic, Enhance Vocals, and Classical. Users can also create custom EQ settings through the Nothing X app.
- Bass Enhancement: Provides three bass settings: Off, Level 1 at 50%, and Level 2 at 100%.
Noise Cancellation and Voice Clarity
The CMF Buds Neo offer up to 35dB of Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). Users can choose from three manual ANC intensity levels or enable Adaptive mode, which automatically adjusts cancellation based on surrounding noise.
For calls, the earbuds use four HD microphones, with two microphones on each earbud. These work with Clear Voice Technology to reduce environmental noise and improve voice clarity.
Battery Life and Connectivity
The charging case packs a 460mAh battery, while each earbud is equipped with a 45mAh battery.
- Playback with ANC Off: Up to 11 hours on a single charge and up to 52 hours with the charging case.
- Playback with ANC On: Up to 8 hours from the earbuds and up to 30 hours with the case.
- Fast Charging: A 10-minute USB Type-C charge provides up to 5.5 hours of playback with ANC disabled. A full wired charge takes around 70 minutes.
