CMF Headphone Pro launched Globally with 40mm dynamic driver, up to 40dB Adaptive ANC, LDAC, up to 100h playback
Nothing has launched its first pair of CMF-branded headphones, the CMF Headphone Pro in the Global Market, delivering on its earlier promise. The headphones feature a modular design, tactile physical controls, high-resolution audio support, and adaptive noise cancellation.
Design and Customization -
The CMF Headphone Pro emphasizes personalization with removable and interchangeable ear cushions, giving users the option to mix and match colors. For control, the headphones incorporate multiple physical inputs:
- Energy Slider – fine-tunes bass and treble.
- Roller – adjusts volume with rotation, plays/pauses music with a short press, and activates ANC with a long press.
- Configurable Button – customizable as an AI shortcut (e.g., ChatGPT access), to toggle ANC modes, or to manage microphone functions.
Audio and Noise Cancellation -
The CMF Headphone Pro is powered by 40mm custom dynamic drivers, offering Hi-Res certified audio with support for the LDAC codec at up to 990 kbps. For personalized listening, it integrates Audiodo™ Personal Sound technology, which fine-tunes output according to the user’s unique hearing profile.
For noise management, the headphones deliver 40dB Adaptive ANC, using a triple-microphone hybrid system with Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) for clearer calls. Users can switch between Adaptive ANC and Transparency Mode, both of which dynamically adjust noise filtering based on the environment.
Performance and Connectivity -
Battery life is rated at up to 100 hours with ANC off and up to 50 hours with ANC on. Fast charging over USB-C provides 5 hours of playback from just 5 minutes of charging, and the headphones can also draw power directly from a compatible smartphone.
Connectivity is handled by Bluetooth 5.4 with support for Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair. A low-latency mode reduces delay to under 120ms, ideal for gaming and video streaming. The headphones also carry an IPX2 water resistance rating.
Additional Features -
Extra features include Spatial Audio with dedicated Cinema and Concert modes for immersive 3D sound. Users can customize controls, adjust settings, and manage ChatGPT integration through the Nothing X app.
The headphones launch in Dark Grey, Light Grey, and Light Green base colors, with additional ear cushion colors available separately.
