Everything we expect to be announced at Xiaomi's Mi 5 India launch event
Xiaomi is launching the Mi5 today in India and its coming earlier than expected. Now, we know for sure we are getting Xiaomi's new flagship in India and that atleast its base variant would be priced under Rs. 25000, but we also wanted to take a dig at what else could the company announce at the event. Is the 3GB RAM variant of the Redmi Note 3 coming back? Marshmallow update? Keep on reading to find out.
Xiaomi has had a trend of launching multiple products at a single event. They launched the Mi Band with the Mi 4i, Mi Bluetooth speaker with the Redmi Note 3 and there may be something extra at the Mi5 event as well.
Here's a list of all things that Xiaomi could launch at today's event: -
- 20,000 mAh Power Bank: This power bank was given to all the attendees at the Redmi Note 3 launch event, but the pricing & availability wasn’t announced. So its a given that Xiaomi announce the final pricing today.
- Mi Band Pulse: The Mi band Pulse is a small upgrade to the already successful Xiaomi Mi band. The Pulse gets a heart rate sensor and is expected to arrive soon in India. Moreover, the Mi Band which has been selling well in India, needs an upgrade.
- Marshmallow Update: The MIUI global beta ROM running on Android Marshmallow for Mi 3, Mi 4 and Mi Note is already out and we expect Xiaomi to make an announcement about the update hitting other devices including the Redmi Note 3.
