Google Pixel 10 series Camera Specs Surfaced Online Revealing Triple 48MP Sony IMX858 Cameras

Following earlier leaks about the Pixel 10 series’ design and battery, new information has emerged about the camera specifications, courtesy of Android Authority. The Pixel 10 is reportedly set to feature a smaller 50MP Samsung GN8 sensor (1/1.95″), the same one used in the upcoming Pixel 9a, replacing the larger 50MP Samsung GNV sensor (1/1.31″) found in its predecessor.

The ultra-wide camera is also getting a downgrade, shifting from a 50MP 1/2.51″ Sony IMX858 sensor to a 13MP 1/3.1″ Sony IMX712 sensor. Additionally, the Pixel 10 is expected to include an 11MP telephoto lens with a 1/1.3″ Samsung 3J1 sensor — the same sensor used for the front camera in the Pixel 9. Interestingly, the Pixel 10 will also use this sensor for its front-facing camera.

Meanwhile, the Pixel 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL are said to feature a new 50MP 1/1.31″ Samsung GNV sensor for the main camera, while continuing to use the 50MP 1/2.51″ Sony IMX858 sensor for the ultra-wide, telephoto, and selfie cameras.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is expected to adopt the same 50MP 1/1.95″ Samsung GN8 sensor used in the standard Pixel 10, replacing the 48MP 1/2″ Sony IMX787 sensor. The device will reportedly retain the ultra-wide and front-facing cameras from the Pixel 9 Pro.

The entire Pixel 10 lineup is expected to be powered by Google’s Tensor G5 chip, built on TSMC’s 3nm process. It will reportedly include a dual-core PowerVR IMG DXT-48-1536 GPU, 16GB of RAM, and a MediaTek T900 modem currently in testing. While detailed camera software features are yet to be confirmed, 4K 60fps HDR video recording is likely, given the capabilities of the new chip.

The Pixel 9 series launched in August last year—earlier than the usual fall window—so it's possible Google could follow a similar timeline for the Pixel 10, especially with Android 16 expected as early as June 2025.
