HTC has confirmed the launch of its next U series smartphone with VIVERSE platform support the HTC U23 Pro on May 18th. The teaser shows the screen of the phone, which reveals the center punch-hole, as per the earlier leaks reveal.
HTC is working on its upcoming smartphone in the new U series with the VIVERSE platform support in last week's teaser. Now, the engineering sample of the phone has surfaced in Taiwan revealing most specifications of the phone.
Geekbench listing already confirmed the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor with 12GB RAM and Android 13. This reveals there will also be an 8GB RAM version with 256GB of storage. It also shows a 120Hz AMOLED screen with a punch-hole display, which is smaller than the Desire 21 Pro.
It will feature a 108MP primary rear camera with OIS along with 3 more cameras which should be ultra-wide, depth, and most probably macro cameras, similar to most other phones.
The phone will have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and the back cover and middle frame of the phone are made of plastic, and the design looks similar to most other mid-range Android phones. The phone will be powered by a 4600mAh battery, but the final number is expected to be 4500mAh, and will also support wireless charging.
The HTC U23 Pro is expected to be launched later this month in Taiwan along with a few more markets.
