HUAWEI Teases HarmonyOS Foldable PC Ahead of May 19 Launch; Expected Kirin X90 Chip
HUAWEI unveiled its HarmonyOS PC operating system last week, showcasing several new features and announcing that the first HarmonyOS-powered PC will debut in China on May 19, 2025. Today, the company released a teaser for the upcoming laptop.
"The world is vast, showing the extraordinary," the teaser reads, though it doesn't disclose specific details. The teaser highlights the laptop’s "ULTIMATE DESIGN" branding, featuring an ultra-slim profile and a leather finish.
According to leaker Digital Chat Station, HUAWEI’s foldable PC will come with a large foldable display and a built-in linear motor capable of simulating keyboard typing. It will reportedly be powered by HUAWEI's self-developed Kirin X90 chip and feature a new folding design.
The HiSilicon Kirin X90 processor received a Level II rating in terms of security and reliability, based on the China Information Security Evaluation Center’s assessment in March 2025.
In addition to the PC, HUAWEI is expected to unveil the HUAWEI Nova14 series smartphones, the HUAWEI FreeArc open-ear headset, and other new products at the event.
