HUAWEI Mate 80 series to be launched on November 25 with Flat OLED display, Circular camera module
HUAWEI has officially announced that the HUAWEI Mate 80 series will launch in China on November 25th, succeeding last year’s Mate 70 lineup. The series will include the Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro Max (replacing the previous “Pro+” branding), and the Mate 80 RS ULTIMATE DESIGN.
All models in the lineup will feature a circular rear camera module, a flat OLED display, a metal frame, 3D face recognition, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Images show that both the Mate 80 and Mate 80 Pro will sport a triple-camera system with a periscope telephoto lens. They will be available in Obsidian Black, Snowy White, Dawn Gold, and Spruce Green.
The Mate 80 will be offered in 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 512GB variants, while the Pro version will also include a 16GB + 1TB option. Both devices are expected to support 66W wired charging.
The Mate 80 Pro Max will launch in Polar Night Black, Polar Silver, Polar Day Gold, and Aurora Blue. Storage options include 16GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB.
The Mate 80 RS ULTIMATE DESIGN will be available in Dark Black, Pure White, and Hibiscus finishes, offered in 20GB + 512GB and 20GB + 1TB configurations. Both the Pro Max and the Mate 80 RS feature a quad-camera setup with dual periscope telephoto lenses and are expected to support 100W wired fast charging.
HUAWEI will also unveil the Mate X7 foldable phone, succeeding last year’s Mate X6. According to reports, the device will come in Obsidian Black, Phantom Purple, Cosmic Red, Cloud Blue, and Cloud White. It is said to feature a 7.95-inch ±2K COE LTPO+UTG display, the Kirin 9030 chipset, improved imaging capabilities, and a slimmer, more adaptable folding design.
