HUAWEI Nova 12 Pro and Nova 12 Ultra launched with 6.76-inch FHD+ 120Hz OLED display, 60MP dual-selfie cameras along with Nova 12
HUAWEI has recently launched its Nova 12 series, a collection of smartphones with a strong emphasis on selfie capabilities. The series consists of three distinct models: the Nova 12, Nova 12 Pro, and Nova 12 Ultra. The Nova 12 boasts a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz OLED display, while the Pro and Ultra variants feature a 6.7-inch 1-120 Hz LTPO OLED panel, equipped with 2160 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming support.
Setting the Ultra model apart is HUAWEI's unique integrated plain leather embossing design on the back, adorned with the 'nova' logo throughout. The other models showcase a glass back design with an embedded cherry blossom pattern.
These smartphones are equipped with HUAWEI's proprietary da Vinci portrait engine, enabling users to capture high-definition selfies in three distinct modes: native, texture, and finish. Additionally, the Pro and Ultra models come with dual front-facing cameras, including a 60MP ultra-wide-angle camera with auto-focus and an 8MP portrait close-up camera.
While the official information about the system-on-chip (SoC) is not provided by HUAWEI, reports suggest that the Nova 12, Nova 12 Pro, and Nova 12 Ultra models may feature Snapdragon 778G 4G SoC, Kirin 8000, and Kirin 9000SL (down-clocked Kirin 9000s) chipsets, respectively.
Additional standout features of the series comprise a 50MP primary camera equipped with a physical variable aperture (ranging from f/1.4 to f/4.0) and an RYYB super-sensitive filter array. The devices run on Harmony OS 4.0, offer storage capacities of up to 1TB, support two-way satellite communication, and boast 100W wired fast charging capabilities.

The HUAWEI Nova 12 is available in Color 12, obsidian black, and cherry white variants. The Nova 12 Pro offers Color 12, Yao Gold Black, Sakura Pink, and Sakura White options. As for the Nova 12 Ultra, it comes in Color 12, smoky gray, and obsidian black variations.
Pre-orders for these models commence today, and the official sale date is set for January 5, 2024, with the Ultra model hitting the shelves on January 12. Interested buyers can make their purchases through HUAWEI's Vmall platform and other authorized retail outlets in China.
