Infinix Smart 20 launched in India starting at Rs. 12499 with 6.78-inch 120Hz display, 7.7mm sleek design, 5200mAh battery

Infinix has launched its entry-level smartphone in the Smart series, the Infinix Smart 20 in India, following its earlier announcement. Positioned as the successor to the Smart 10, the latest model introduces several upgrades, including a larger display, enhanced battery capacity, and improved processing performance, catering to budget-focused users.
Design and Display
The Infinix Smart 20 features a flat-frame design complemented by a 3D textured composite rear panel, while maintaining a slim 7.7mm profile. On the front, the smartphone is equipped with a larger 6.78-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smoother visuals compared to the 6.67-inch screen found on its predecessor. The panel incorporates a centered punch-hole cutout and supports the company’s Dynamic Bar interface, which provides quick access to notifications and status updates.

Performance and Hardware
Powering the device is the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultimate processor, paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Infinix also includes its MemFusion technology, enabling users to virtually expand memory by up to an additional 4GB through internal storage allocation. For storage needs, the handset supports expansion of up to 2TB via a dedicated microSD card slot.
The smartphone packs a 5,200mAh battery designed to deliver extended usage and standby times. Charging support includes 15W wired charging, while 5W reverse wired charging allows the device to power compatible accessories and other devices.
Camera and Connectivity
For imaging, the Infinix Smart 20 is equipped with an 8MP primary rear camera housed within a rectangular camera module, accompanied by an auxiliary sensor and LED flash. Selfies and video calls are handled by an 8MP front-facing camera. Camera-related software features include Super Night Mode, Dual Video recording, and a dedicated VLOG mode.
In terms of connectivity, the smartphone supports 4G networks and debuts UltraLink, an offline communication feature that enables walkie-talkie-style wireless communication between compatible Infinix smartphones at distances of up to 1 kilometer. Additional features include Smart Noise Cancellation for clearer voice calls, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security, and an IP64 rating for resistance against dust and water splashes.
