iQOO 15 Design Surfaced Online with Spaceship-Inspired Camera Deco; Expected 2K LTPO Screen, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC

iQOO has begun teasing the design of its upcoming flagship samrtphone, the iQOO 15, showcasing a striking large camera module positioned in the upper-left corner. According to the company, the design is stronger, more refined, and more elegant, with the camera deco resembling a spaceship floating on the glass back. iQOO’s product manager even called it the coolest camera deco design to date.

Camera -

As per tipster Digital Chat Station, the iQOO 15 will feature a right-angle metal middle frame, a hidden RGB light strip, and a slightly thicker lens module—a design choice driven by the addition of a periscope telephoto camera. Rumors suggest the phone will house a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto lens, marking a major camera upgrade this generation.

Display -

iQOO product manager Ge Lan V revealed that the phone’s 2K display will surpass both 1.5K panels and even Apple’s Pro Max Retina standard in terms of static and dynamic image detail. The screen is said to achieve a 98.1% first-frame brightness, leading the industry compared to the Android average of 80% and Apple Pro Max’s 96.69%, significantly reducing font blurring and ghosting in dynamic visuals.

Earlier reports indicate the device will sport a 6.85-inch 2K custom Samsung LTPO panel with ultra-narrow bezels on all sides. It is expected to support Pol-less depolarization technology, improving brightness, reducing power consumption, and simplifying production.

iQOO is also likely to use an AR anti-glare film, with the panel tipped to be the most expensive display (by BOM cost) among upcoming flagships. The iQOO 15 will ship with Android 16-based OriginOS 6 out of the box in China.

Launch Timeline -

Pre-reservations for the iQOO 15 are already live in China across all channels. More details are expected after the launch of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 at the Snapdragon Summit 2025 next week.

The tentative launch date for the iQOO 15 is set for October 20, 2025, a few weeks after Qualcomm’s announcement. An India launch is also expected later this year.
