iQOO Pad Ultra launched with 8.8-inch 2.3K 165Hz OLED screen, Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, active cooling fan

iQOO has launched its latest flagship tablet, the iQOO Pad Ultra in China, alongside the iQOO 16. The new tablet combines a compact design with flagship-grade hardware, an active cooling system, and gaming-focused features. It is available in Starry Silver and Ender Black colour options.

Display and Design

The iQOO Pad Ultra measures just 5.74mm at its thinnest point and sports an 8.8-inch OLED display surrounded by ultra-slim bezels. The screen delivers a 93.3% screen-to-body ratio.

Key display specs include a 165Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits, and a response time of less than 1ms.

At the rear, the tablet features a camera module with customizable RGB lighting. The lighting system supports six different visual effects, adding a gaming-oriented touch to the design.

Hardware and Performance

The tablet is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, built using a 2nm manufacturing process and offering CPU clock speeds of up to 5.0GHz. iQOO pairs the processor with its next-generation Monster over-core engine and proprietary hardware scheduler for performance management and optimization. A 9,020mAh Blue Ocean battery supplies power to the device.

For sustained performance during demanding workloads and extended gaming sessions, the iQOO Pad Ultra uses the Ice Dome Five-Fold Air Cooling System. The cooling solution comprises:

• A dedicated 30 × 30 × 3.5mm active cooling fan capable of generating up to 0.94 CFM airflow.
• Three-dimensional air intake vents integrated into the front and side frames.
• A three-stage intelligent airflow system that adjusts cooling according to real-time thermal conditions.

Gaming Features and Software

iQOO has positioned the Pad Ultra as a portable gaming-focused tablet. It comes equipped with dual X-axis linear motors that enable 4D tactile vibration and offers native support for 15 mainstream game titles.

The tablet also supports Tencent STAR cloud gaming with dedicated optimizations and compatibility with clip-on stretchable gamepads. For users interested in PC gaming, the built-in PC emulator supports direct Steam account login and allows AAA games to be executed locally.

On the software front, the iQOO Pad Ultra runs OriginOS 7 HD. The interface introduces productivity features such as Atomic Workbench, along with customizable flash card UI themes.

The tablet also includes Storage Compression 2.0, which can deliver data compression rates of up to 30%. In addition, seamless cross-device connectivity allows the Pad Ultra to interact with compatible devices across the iQOO ecosystem.
