Lenovo Legion Y70 (2026) launched with 6.82-inch 2K 144Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, 8000mAh battery

Lenovo has launched its next-generation Legion Y70 smartphone at its Lenovo Tianxi AI All-in-One Multi-Device All-Scenario New Product Super Night event. The updated gaming-centric smartphone brings improvements in display technology, processing hardware, thermal management, and long-term battery support.
Display and Performance -
The Legion Y70 sports a 6.82-inch 2K gaming display with a pixel density of 510 PPI. Lenovo says the panel delivers 2100 nits of global brightness and can reach a peak brightness of 7000 nits. It also supports an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 144Hz and offers 100% P3 color gamut coverage.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Mobile Platform. On the connectivity side, Lenovo has introduced quad-SIM dual-standby support, combining two physical SIM slots with dual eSIM functionality.

Battery, Cooling, and Durability -
The device packs an 8000mAh “Star Ring” battery with support for 90W Super Flash Charge technology. Lenovo claims the battery is designed to deliver a theoretical lifespan of up to seven years. The phone also includes bypass charging support, allowing power to flow directly from the charger to the device during gaming or heavy workloads, reducing battery heat buildup.
Lenovo is also offering a four-year battery warranty, including a complimentary battery replacement if battery health falls below 80% during the coverage period.
For thermal control, the Legion Y70 uses a triple-layer cooling system integrating thermal gel, liquid metal, and a vapor chamber (VC). In terms of durability, the smartphone comes with IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications for resistance against dust and water exposure.
