Lumio Arc 5 and Arc 7 projectors launched in India starting from Rs.19,999 with Google TV, up to a 120-inch projection, HDR10, Netflix support
Lumio has officially entered the Indian home projector market with the debut of its Lumio Arc 5 and Arc 7 projectors, after recently launching its smart TVs.
Lumio Arc 5 -
The Lumio Arc 5 delivers 200 ANSI lumens of brightness, making it ideal for use in dimly lit environments and capable of projecting up to 100 inches. Weighing just 1.33 kg, it’s designed to be a portable solution for flexible usage. It features 5W speakers with dual passive radiators to enhance bass performance and supports Dolby Audio. The projector is certified for both Google TV and Netflix.
Lumio Arc 7 -
Offering a higher brightness of 400 ANSI lumens, the Arc 7 is designed to maintain clarity even in rooms with moderate ambient light. It also supports projection sizes up to 100 inches. This model comes equipped with dual 8W stereo speakers and a larger passive radiator to deliver a more immersive sound experience, also with Dolby Audio support. Like the Arc 5, it is Google TV and Netflix certified, making it well-suited for living rooms and bedrooms.
Connectivity & Features -
Both models in the Arc series come with multiple connectivity options, including HDMI 2.0 (with ARC support), USB 2.0, Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, and a 3.5mm audio jack. They are bundled with the Minion Noir Remote, which includes Google Assistant integration and dedicated buttons for Netflix, YouTube, and the TLDR app.
TLDR App -
Designed to streamline content discovery, the TLDR app caters to sports and music enthusiasts. TLDR Sports provides live match updates, schedules, highlights, and analysis for Cricket and Football, with more sports to be added soon. TLDR Music offers curated playlists, trending tracks, and integration with YouTube Music for an enhanced listening experience.
Lumio Arc Series Overview -
The Arc series aims to redefine mid-range home projectors by combining advanced technology with a focus on user experience. Both the Arc 5 and Arc 7 are equipped with Lumio’s proprietary Arclight Engine, which delivers Full HD 1080p resolution with HDR10 support for rich colors and crisp visuals.
The Arclight Engine is fully sealed and precisely aligned to prevent dust build-up—a common problem that causes hazy images in conventional projectors. It also features optimized airflow for quieter operation.
For hassle-free setup, both models come with Smooth Trapezoidal Recalibration (STR8), enabling automatic keystone correction (±30° vertical, ±25° horizontal), obstacle avoidance, and instant autofocus powered by a Time-of-Flight (TOF) sensor—designed to offer a true “plug-and-play” experience.
Internally, the Arc 5 and Arc 7 are powered by the MTK 9630 processor, with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. They run on Google TV, granting access to over 400,000 movies and shows across 10,000+ apps, including full Netflix support. Additionally, Lumio’s unique “Under-Stand” feature allows for elevated projection setups tailored to different home environments.
According to Lumio’s research, there is a significant gap in the Indian projector segment, particularly in the Rs. 20,000–50,000 price range. Consumers often face a tough choice between low-cost models under Rs. 12,000 that offer limited performance and features, or costly high-end alternatives. Common pain points include poor OTT app compatibility (e.g., Netflix and Prime Video), subpar audio, complex user interfaces, and unreliable after-sales service. Lumio says the Arc series is built to directly tackle these challenges.
