MediaTek Dimensity 9400e launched with AI-Powered APU 790, Debuts in OnePlus Ace5 Racing Edition

    MediaTek Dimensity 9400e launch.

MediaTek has launched its latest processor in the 9400 series, the Dimensity 9400e SoC, an upgraded version of last year’s Dimensity 9300+, at the OnePlus Game Strategic Communication Conference in China.

Built on TSMC’s 4nm process, the Dimensity 9400e maintains the series’ high-performance CPU architecture, featuring a 3.4GHz Cortex-X4 prime core, three 2.85GHz Cortex-X4 performance cores, and four 2.0GHz Cortex-A720 efficiency cores.

OnePlus Ace5 Series to Debut Dimensity 9400e -

OnePlus has officially announced that its OnePlus Ace5 Racing Edition, launching in China next week, will be the first device equipped with the Dimensity 9400e. The phone will come preloaded with the proprietary Fengchi Gaming Kernel, designed to push gaming performance to new heights.

According to OnePlus, the Ace5 Racing Edition sets a new industry benchmark by achieving both the highest average frame rate and the strongest 1% low frame performance—a feat made possible by the Fengchi Gaming Kernel.

MediaTek Dimensity 9400e with OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition soon.

Louis Jie, Head of OnePlus China, said:

The gamers demand smoother experiences, and average frame rate alone is no longer a sufficient metric. He highlighted the importance of the 1% low frame rate, which represents the lowest frame rates seen during the most crucial gameplay moments—such as combat, high-speed driving, or critical action scenes. A higher 1% low frame rate ensures smoother performance exactly when it matters most.

Jie called on the industry to adopt the 1% low frame metric as a key standard alongside average frame rate to better reflect real-world gaming smoothness.

OnePlus claims the Ace5 Racing Edition will deliver unmatched gaming performance in its price segment, outperforming all competitors under 2,500 yuan (approximately USD 346 / Rs. 29,610).
