Microsoft Lumia 650 and Lumia 650 Dual-SIM go official with mediocre specs, Windows 10
Microsoft Lumia 650 has finally seen the light of day after multiple leaks in the last few months. The Windows Phone maker has chosen a 5-inch HD AMOLED display for the Lumia 650, which will also be offered in a Dual-SIM avatar in some regions.
Coming to what's running the insides, we have a Snapdragon 212 quad-core processor with 1GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage which is expandable upto 200GB with a microSD card slot. There's an 8MP rear camera, 5MP front-camera both capable of recording 720p videos. On the connectivity front there's no dual-band WiFi and no fast charging. Although there will be dual-SIM variant available with support for 4G LTE.
Microsoft is focusing on the enterprise with the Lumia 650, and you have a very solid aluminium frame backing the bland design. It is was just about specs, the Lumia 650 would be obliterated by the likes of the Moto G3. Windows Phone doesn't make much consumer sense, but for the enterprise with its limited selection of apps, can be an alternative to Android and iOS.
The Lumia 650 and Lumia 650 Dual-SIM will come in more subdued black and white matte options for a suggested price of $199 (about Rs. 13,500). It will be available some European markets starting February 18th.
