Motorola Moto X (2014) gets Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in India
Motorola has started rolling out Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the previous-gen Moto X (2014) in India.
The OTA update weighs in at about 884MB and brings with it all the marshmallow-y goodness including Doze mode for better battery-life on standby, Google Now on Tap, granular App Permissions. The update has started rolling out and should be available to most devices within next week.
Amit Boni, GM - Motorola India had earlier also said that they were working to bring Marshmallow to the Moto G 3rd-gen very soon. The company also launched an upgraded version in India dubbed the Moto G Turbo running on the Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor with other specs remaining similar.
Moto X Style has already received its ota update to Marshmallow in India and soak test for the Moto X Play has begun. We expect the current crop of Motorola smartphones in India to be updated by early next-year, including the Moto E (2nd-gen) 4G.
