Motorola has launched its next-generation foldable smartphones, the Motorola Razr 70 Ultra, Razr 70 Plus, and Razr 70 for the USA Market. These devices succeed the Razr 60 series and will be marketed in the U.S. as the Razr Ultra (2026), Razr Plus (2026), and Razr (2026).

The 2026 lineup brings several upgrades, including larger cover displays, improved camera systems, enhanced durability, and deeper integration with multiple AI platforms.

Design and Display Specifications -

All three models retain the signature clamshell foldable design, while introducing key differences in display size and technology.

• External Displays - The Razr 70 Ultra and Razr 70 Plus feature a 4.0-inch cover display with a 165Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 3000 nits. The standard Razr 70 gets a slightly smaller 3.6-inch external screen. These displays allow users to access apps, notifications, and AI features without unfolding the device.
• Internal Displays - When unfolded, the Razr 70 Ultra sports a 7.0-inch Extreme AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, up to 5000 nits peak HDR brightness, and Pantone validation. The Razr 70 Plus and Razr 70 both come with a 6.9-inch Extreme AMOLED panel.
• Durability and Materials - The entire lineup features a titanium-reinforced hinge and meets military-grade standards for resistance to extreme conditions such as temperature, altitude, and humidity.

The Razr 70 Ultra is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 and is offered in distinctive finishes like Pantone Orient Blue (Alcantara) and Pantone Cocoa (wood veneer). Meanwhile, the Razr 70 Plus and Razr 70 come with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and are available in a range of finishes, including vegan leather, jacquard, and acetate, across multiple Pantone-inspired color options.

• Motorola Razr 70 Ultra - Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, this model packs the largest 5000mAh battery in the lineup, delivering an estimated 36+ hours of usage. It supports 68W TurboPower fast charging—capable of delivering a day’s power in just 8 minutes—along with wireless and reverse charging.
• Motorola Razr 70 Plus - Equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Mobile Platform, it houses a 4500mAh battery rated for over 31 hours of use. Charging options include 45W wired fast charging, 15W wireless charging, and reverse charging support.
• Motorola Razr 70 - Featuring the MediaTek Dimensity 7450X processor, this model includes a 4800mAh battery with an estimated 36+ hours of usage. It supports 30W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.

Camera Systems and Software -

The 2026 Razr lineup introduces notable improvements in both camera hardware and software, enhancing low-light performance, color accuracy, and overall versatility.

• Razr 70 Ultra - Comes with a 50MP primary camera using a new LOFIC sensor for improved dynamic range, paired with a 50MP ultrawide + macro lens. It also features a 50MP internal camera for selfies and video calls.
• Razr 70 Plus and Razr 70 - Both models share a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP ultrawide + macro lens, along with a 32MP internal front camera.

Motorola has also added software enhancements such as AI-powered Group Shot for combining the best facial expressions, “Camcorder Rotate to Zoom” for easier one-handed video recording, and built-in Ultra HDR optimization tailored for platforms like Instagram.

AI Integration -

Instead of limiting users to a single ecosystem, Motorola integrates multiple AI platforms alongside its own solutions.

• moto ai - Offers on-device tools like “Catch me up” for summarizing notifications, “Next Move” for contextual suggestions, and advanced search across apps and contacts.
• Third-party AI support - Users can access Google Gemini (including Gemini Live), Microsoft Copilot for productivity, and Perplexity for real-time, citation-backed search results. The lineup also introduces a new Google Photos wardrobe feature, enabling users to digitize clothing items for virtual try-ons.

Pre-orders for the 2026 Razr lineup in the United States will begin on May 14, with general availability starting from May 21.

• Motorola Razr Ultra (2026) - Priced at USD 1,499.99 (approx. Rs. 1,42,300). It will be available unlocked via major retailers like Best Buy, Amazon, and Motorola’s official website.
• Motorola Razr Plus (2026) - Priced at USD 1,099.99 (approx. Rs. 1,04,365). It will be sold unlocked and through AT&T at launch, with availability on T-Mobile to follow later.
• Motorola Razr (2026) - Priced at USD 799.99 (approx. Rs. 75,900). It will be available unlocked as well as through carriers such as Boost Mobile, Spectrum Mobile, Verizon, Visible, and Google Fi Wireless.
