Nubia Z70S Ultra Photographer Edition launched with 6.85-inch 1.5K 144Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC
Nubia has officially launched its latest flagship Camera smartphone, the Z70S Ultra Photographer Edition in the Chinese market, as promised. It runs on the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, the device offers up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It also introduces Nubia’s first kilometer-level real-time offline call feature.
The standout feature of the phone is its camera system, which includes a customized 50-megapixel Light and Shadow Master 990 sensor from OmniVision. This sensor boasts a native 35mm focal length and utilizes horizontal/vertical four-phase autofocus technology.
Beyond the main camera, the Z70S Ultra Photographer Edition features a 64-megapixel 1/2″ periscope telephoto lens and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with macro capabilities. It is also equipped with a physical shutter button that allows half-press to focus and a long press to capture photos.
Nubia has also introduced a professional photography kit for the device, which includes a phone case that supports a T-mount adapter and an adapter ring compatible with standard 67mm filters, enabling users to attach ND filters or polarizers to the phone's lenses. The kit supports a shoulder strap, magnetic attachment features, and a 1/4 thread interface for tripod mounting.
During the launch, Nubia showcased a set of interchangeable lenses for the 35mm main camera, developed in collaboration with Fotogear. The T-mount external lens lineup includes a fisheye lens, a macro lens, a 139mm telephoto lens, and a 400mm super telephoto lens, allowing users to significantly expand the focal range.
The Z70S Ultra Photographer Edition features a 6.85-inch 1.5K OLED BOE Q9+ display, offering up to a 144Hz refresh rate, a 95.3% screen-to-body ratio, peak brightness of 2000 nits, and support for 2592Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and DC dimming—similar to the Nubia Z70 Ultra. Rounding out its features, the phone is rated IP68 and IP69 for dust and water resistance and is equipped with a 6600mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging.
