OnePlus 15 launching in India on November 13 with 6.78-inch 1.5K 165Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC

OnePlus has officially announced that its next flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 15 will debut in India on November 13, shortly after its unveiling in China earlier this week.
According to the company, the new model continues OnePlus’s legacy of performance excellence, delivering exceptional speed and intelligent personalization with OxygenOS 16. The announcement emphasizes the device’s advanced photography capabilities, powered by the all-new DetailMax Engine, promising superior clarity in both daylight and low-light conditions. The OnePlus 15 will also be available in three distinct color variants.
Performance and AI Innovations -
At its core, the OnePlus 15 is powered by the Snapdragon® 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, making it one of the first smartphones to feature this top-tier processor. It is paired with 10,667Mbps LPDDR5X Ultra+ RAM in the 16GB model, aimed at ensuring smooth and responsive performance.

The device runs on OxygenOS 16, which introduces AI-enhanced features for more intuitive interactions, intelligent language assistance, and improved imaging capabilities. Deeper integration with Google Gemini AI allows users to interact with Mind Space, retrieving and using stored information seamlessly. The new Plus Mind feature acts as a personalized, context-aware digital companion.
DetailMax Engine: Next-Gen Computational Photography -
The DetailMax Engine combines multiple imaging technologies to deliver sharper, more detailed photos.
Key highlights include -
- Ultra-Clear 26MP Mode: Merges multi-frame 12MP shots with a single 50MP image to produce a 26MP output that balances detail and manageable file size—especially effective in textures like foliage and fabrics.
- Clear Burst: Upgraded to 10 fps (from 6 fps on the OnePlus 13), this feature utilizes dual-exposure anti-blur to capture both short and long exposures simultaneously, freezing motion while preserving fine details.
- Clear Night Engine: Utilizes dual analog gain to eliminate exposure timing gaps, resulting in brighter, cleaner, and more natural night shots with reduced noise.
Design and Build -
The OnePlus 15 upholds the brand’s signature craftsmanship, arriving in three elegant finishes:
- Infinite Black: Frosted glass back with a deep matte texture that resists fingerprints.
- Sand Storm: Lightweight fiberglass composite rear with a micro-arc oxidized (MAO) metal frame, featuring a ceramic-grade coating said to be 1.3x harder than titanium for added durability.
- Ultra Violet: A dual-layer optical coating creates a color-shifting effect from violet to sapphire depending on lighting.
Availability -
The OnePlus 15 will go on sale in India from 8:00 PM IST on November 13, following the global launch event. It will be available through Amazon.in, the OnePlus India online store, and authorized offline retailers.
