OnePlus Set to Launch New Ace 5 Series Phone with Dimensity 9400E SoC, Tipped to Outperform Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC
OnePlus launched the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro smartphones last year, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8 Elite SoCs. Now, the company is preparing to unveil a new Ace 5 series device, which, according to leaker Digital Chat Station, will be the first to feature the Dimensity 9400E processor aimed at the mid-range market.
The leaker also noted that, based on its main frequency and cache, the new chipset is expected to outperform the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The phone will retain the same Fengchi gaming core found in the Ace 5, promising strong gaming performance. Rumors suggest its performance could be comparable to the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Gen 4.
Previous leaks indicate the device will sport a 6.77-inch LTPS display, a dual rear camera setup (50MP + 2MP), a 16MP front camera, a plastic mid-frame, an optical fingerprint sensor, and a large battery. It is expected to be priced under 1,999 yuan (approximately USD 274 or Rs. 23,409).
Additionally, reports suggest that OnePlus is planning a strategy shift this year, with two new Ace series phones featuring Dimensity processors, straight flat displays, fresh designs, and large batteries. There are also rumors about the upcoming OnePlus Ace 5 Supreme Edition.
