OnePlus Nord 5 Camera Specs Revealed with Dual 50MP Sensors, Ultra HDR, and 4K 60fps Video Support
After confirming the launch of the OnePlus Nord 5 for July 8, the company has now unveiled key camera specifications for the device. Promising significant upgrades in both performance and imaging over its predecessor, the Nord 4, the Nord 5 is shaping up to be a compelling mid-range offering.
Dual 50MP Cameras on Front and Rear -
The Nord 5 will sport a dual 50MP Ultra-Clear camera setup on both the front and back. On the rear, it houses the LYT-700 sensor, the same sensor used in the OnePlus 13R and 13s, bringing flagship-level imaging capabilities to the Nord series.
The camera system also incorporates the OnePlus 13’s advanced HDR algorithm, aimed at delivering enhanced color accuracy and detail—especially in low-light scenarios. For expanded versatility, the rear setup also includes an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 116° field of view, optimized for landscape and group shots.
Front Camera Upgrades -
On the front, the Nord 5 features a 50MP JN5 sensor, typically seen in high-end flagship smartphones. It also supports hardware-level multi-focusing (autofocus) to ensure sharp, clear selfies across various lighting conditions.
Enhanced Imaging Features -
The Nord 5 introduces an upgraded LivePhoto mode with Ultra HDR, capturing 3-second motion images—1.5 seconds before and after the shutter press—with the cover image rendered in high-quality Ultra HDR. The phone also supports 4K video recording at 60fps on both the front and rear cameras.
Performance and Gaming -
OnePlus had earlier confirmed that the Nord 5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Mobile Platform, paired with LPDDR5X RAM. It features a 7,300 mm² vapor chamber cooling system and graphene-based thermal materials similar to those in the OnePlus 13, offering thermal conductivity of 1,800W/m·K.
Gaming performance gets a boost with native support for BGMI at 90fps, enhanced by frame interpolation to push frame rates up to 144fps, along with native 144fps support for Call of Duty Mobile.
Availability -
The OnePlus Nord 5 will be available via Amazon.in, OnePlus India’s online store, and offline retail outlets following its launch. More details are expected to surface in the lead-up to the official release.
