OPPO F29 and F29 Pro will be launched in India on March 20 with 6000mAh battery, 80W fast charging

OPPO has officially announced the launch of its latest smartphones in the F29 series, the OPPO F29 and F29 Pro in India on March 29th, marking them as the successors to last year’s F27 series. According to OPPO, these devices are designed to endure India’s toughest environmental conditions, featuring a 360° Armour Body, advanced waterproofing, and certification for over 14 military-grade environmental tests.

Weighing just 180g and measuring a sleek 7.55mm in thickness, the F29 series has been tested by SGS (Société Générale de Surveillance) in India for IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings, ensuring maximum protection against dust and water ingress. Additionally, OPPO has confirmed that the series will come equipped with a powerful 6000mAh battery, 80W fast charging, and a 300% network boost.

OPPO detailed the F29 series' build quality, highlighting several protective features:

The Sponge Bionic Cushioning effectively absorbs impact, reducing damage from accidental drops. Additionally, the elevated battery cover and reinforced side frame provide extra durability. The newly introduced Raised Corner Design Cover further safeguards all four corners from potential damage.

For camera protection, the Lens Protection Ring, made from strengthened glass, is designed to sit slightly higher than the camera lens, preventing scratches. Furthermore, the smartphone’s internal frame, which houses the motherboard, has been upgraded to aerospace-grade aluminum alloy, enhancing structural integrity by 10% compared to its predecessor.

The F29 series has also undergone 14 MIL-STD-810H-2022 military-standard tests, assessing its resistance to extreme temperatures, shocks, rain, freezing water, sand, dust, salt mist, solar radiation, humidity, vibration, fluid contamination, mold, acceleration, and g-forces.

The OPPO F29 Pro will be available in Marble White, inspired by sunlight reflecting off marble for an elegant yet durable look, and Granite Black, featuring a textured, sophisticated finish. It will be offered in 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB variants.

Meanwhile, the OPPO F29 5G will come in Solid Purple, exuding a regal aura, and Glacier Blue, inspired by the serene icy landscapes of India’s mountains. It will be available in 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB configurations.
