OPPO F33 5G and F33 Pro 5G launched in India starting at Rs. 31,999 with 6.57-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen, up to IP69K ratings, 7000mAh battery

OPPO has launched its latest smartphone in the F33 5G series, the OPPO F33 5G and F33 Pro 5G in India, as previously announced.

Imaging Hardware and Specifications -

The OPPO F33 Pro places a strong emphasis on its front-facing camera, specifically designed to capture wider group shots with ease.

According to OPPO, the 100° field-of-view front camera can capture around 30% more area at a distance of one meter compared to standard selfie cameras, helping ensure that all subjects fit within the frame. The standard F33 shares a similar rear camera setup but features a 16MP front-facing camera instead.

Software and Camera Features -

To complement its camera hardware, OPPO has introduced a suite of AI-powered imaging features:

• AI Groupfie Expert: Automatically switches to a 0.6x ultra-wide view when more than two people are detected in the frame. It also includes face distortion correction that can adjust up to six faces simultaneously, ensuring natural proportions even at the edges.
• AI Portrait Glow: Making its debut in the F Series, this feature analyzes ambient lighting in real time and applies one of four preset effects—Natural Light, Flashlight, Rim Light, or Studio Light—for enhanced portraits.
• Colourful Front Fill Light: Instead of a standard white flash, this system uses soft, adjustable multi-colored lighting to better match natural skin tones in low-light conditions.
• Popout: An in-camera tool that creates layered, 3D-style compositions using multiple photos or motion shots, eliminating the need for third-party editing apps.
• Dual-View Video: Allows simultaneous recording from both the front and rear cameras, combining the footage into a single video output.

The OPPO F33 Series introduces a refreshed design approach, moving beyond previous generations in both aesthetics and construction.

The rear panel features a newly developed “Starry Sea Lens Module,” characterized by a large, flush, rounded-rectangular camera island that houses two vertically aligned circular lenses along with a ring-flash element.

The device sports a 6.57-inch flat display and weighs 194g, with a chassis built using a “One-Piece Cold Carving” technique for improved structural integrity.

• Back Cover: The unibody rear is crafted from a single 1.5mm polymer sheet, combining acrylic and polycarbonate. This construction is three times thicker than conventional injection-molded covers, enhancing drop resistance.
• Manufacturing Process: The F33 Pro employs advanced cold sculpting technology, where a high-speed 40,000 RPM CNC machine precisely shapes the camera module for a seamless, glossy finish. The rest of the back panel features a contrasting matte texture, topped with a hard coating (HC) for better resistance to wear and scratches.
