OPPO K14 Plus launched in India starts at an Effective Price of Rs. 25,999 with 6.78-inch 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED display, IP69K ratings, 8000mAh battery

OPPO has launched its latest mid-range smartphone in the K14 lineup, the OPPO K14 Plus 5G in India, following the company’s earlier announcement. Designed for users who prioritize extended battery life and durability, the new handset combines an 8,000mAh battery with a 144Hz 1.5K AMOLED display and extensive protection against water and dust, including an IP69K rating.

Hardware and Performance

The OPPO K14 Plus 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 MAX chipset, built using a 4nm fabrication process. Based on manufacturer data, the processor delivers up to a 30% improvement in multi-core CPU performance and up to a 35% increase in graphics performance compared with previous-generation Dimensity platforms. OPPO’s internal benchmark testing of the 8GB + 256GB configuration achieved an AnTuTu V12 score of more than one million points.

The smartphone comes with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, while the 8GB RAM variants support up to 16GB of virtual RAM expansion. For thermal control, OPPO has equipped the device with a 5,000mm² vapor chamber, larger than the 3,900mm² solution found on the K14, alongside a 19,989mm² graphite heat dissipation layer.

Battery and Durability

A major highlight of the K14 Plus is its 8,000mAh battery, which supports 45W SUPERVOOC wired charging. OPPO says the battery can retain at least 80% of its original capacity after 1,800 charging cycles, equivalent to approximately six years of daily charging under the company’s stated usage conditions.

The smartphone also supports Bypass Charging for extended workloads such as gaming and offers 10W reverse wired charging for powering compatible accessories. OPPO claims a typical mixed-use battery endurance of up to 2.95 days based on its internal testing.

For added structural protection, the handset features an “Armour Body” built around an AM04 aerospace-grade aluminum alloy chassis, structural collision framing, and internal corner cushioning. Its exterior carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications, protecting against water jets, steam cleaning, and prolonged immersion.

Display and Design

The OPPO K14 Plus features a 17.22cm (6.78-inch) 1.5K AMOLED display with a 2772 × 1272 resolution and 450 PPI pixel density. The panel supports an adaptive refresh rate of up to 144Hz, dynamically switching between 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, and 144Hz depending on the content.

Camera Features

The rear camera setup is headlined by a 50MP primary sensor with a 1/2-inch sensor size, f/1.8 aperture, autofocus, and optical image stabilization (OIS). The camera system supports 4K video recording, stabilized video modes, and high-frame-rate recording at 1080p 120fps and 720p 240fps.

On the software side, the camera system incorporates Turbo RAW processing and local skin-tone optimization developed for Indian complexions. It also includes an underwater photography mode with freshwater colour correction and automated prompts for water drainage.

For selfies and video calls, the phone features a 16MP Sony IMX480 front-facing camera.

Software and Connectivity

The OPPO K14 Plus 5G runs ColorOS 16 and includes the Trinity Engine, which uses parallel data loading and adaptive resource scheduling to manage system resources. According to OPPO Lab data, the smartphone has received a smoothness certification covering up to six years for the 256GB variant, while the 128GB versions are covered for up to five years.
