Oppo R3 goes official with 6.3mm body, quad-core processor, 5-inch HD display
Oppo R3 has gone official in an event in Beijing featuring a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display running on a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage which is expandable via microSD cards. It is just 6.3 mm thick and comes with a magnesium alloy build but still manages to carry a 2420 mAh battery within it. The Oppo R3 weighs in at 140 grams, with dimensions 142.3 x 70.4 x 6.3 mm.
The Oppo R3 is being touted as the thinnest 4G LTE capable device. It also features a 8 MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture for better low-light performance and a new night-mode to help in that respect. You also have a 5 MP front-facing camera. Oppo R3 also features O-Video which will allow for you to upload a video to the cloud alongwith an image, and any phone scanning that image will be able to play the video instantly.
The Oppo R3 will be available in Black and White colors priced at 2299 Chinese Yuan (about USD 369 or Rs. 21,900) but at present there is no word on availability. A few weeks back Oppo also launched the N1 Mini.
