REDMAGIC 11 Air launched with 6.85-inch 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, active cooling fan, 7000mAh battery

Nubia has launched its latest slim gaming-focused smartphone with a large battery, the REDMAGIC 11 Air in China, a successor to last year’s REDMAGIC 10 Air. It features a 6.85-inch 1.5K OLED display with up to a 144Hz refresh rate, 2592Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, DC dimming, a 95.1% screen-to-body ratio, and ultra-slim 1.25mm bezels. It also adopts a 3D curved glass design for a more premium look and feel.

The phone is equipped with a 16MP under-display front camera and measures just 7.85mm in thickness. On the rear, it sports a dual-camera setup led by a 50MP primary sensor. The back panel design draws inspiration from the retro look of vinyl records, the speed and energy of racetracks, and artistic geometric patterns. Notably, this is the first Air-series REDMAGIC phone to feature an active cooling fan.
Under the hood, the REDMAGIC 11 Air is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with the company’s self-developed RedCore R4 gaming chip, up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. It also includes the brand’s in-house CUBE Sky Engine for enhanced gaming performance.

The phone comes with gaming shoulder triggers featuring an industry-leading 520Hz touch sampling rate. For thermal management, it uses an industry-first aerospace-grade aluminium air-cooling bracket, combined with an active cooling fan, a 4D ultra-thick “ice-step” VC cooling system, and under-display graphene copper foil. This dual-track cooling system combines efficient heat conduction and active dissipation, delivering strong cooling performance while maintaining quiet operation.
Despite its slim profile, the REDMAGIC 11 Air packs a massive 7,000mAh battery with support for 120W wired fast charging and bypass charging. It runs REDMAGIC OS 11.0 and includes a built-in PC emulator along with several AI features such as AI search and object recognition, image-based search, full-screen translation, and real-world translation. It also offers AI game search and an AI tactical coach that can provide gameplay suggestions in real time.
