Redmi 15 5G surfaced with 6.9-inch FHD+ 144Hz display, Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, 7000mAh battery ahead of India Launch
Xiaomi has begun teasing the upcoming launch of its next mid-range smartphone in the number series, the Redmi 15 5G in India. The teaser highlights the phone’s side profile and emphasizes its massive battery, claiming it can stay on standby for up to 7.5 hours with just 1% charge.
Ahead of the launch, an image of the phone has leaked online, revealing key specifications and the design. The phone is said to feature a 6.9-inch FHD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate, powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC. Camera specs include a 50MP primary rear camera with a 2MP secondary sensor, and an 8MP front camera. It will house a 7000mAh battery with 33W fast charging and come with an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.
The Redmi 15 5G is listed in some markets at RM 699 (approximately USD 165 / Rs. 14,305) for the 8GB + 256GB variant, and a 6GB + 128GB version is also expected. While NFC support is mentioned, it may not be available in all regions, including India.
The official announcement is likely to happen later this week, alongside the Redmi 15C 5G, which will succeed the Redmi 14C. The Redmi 15 5G India launch is expected in early August, and it will be available via Amazon.in, mi.com, and offline retail stores.
