Redmi A5 launched with 6.88-inch 120Hz display, UNISOC T7250 SoC, 5200mAh battery
Xiaomi has launched its latest budget 4G smartphone, the Redmi A5 for global markets. The device features a 6.88-inch HD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and an 8MP front camera housed within a notch. Powering the phone is the Unisoc T7250 octa-core processor, paired with up to 4GB of RAM and an additional 4GB of virtual RAM.
On the back, the Redmi A5 sports a 32MP primary camera along with a secondary sensor. It boasts a sleek design with a flat frame and an upgraded camera module, surrounded by a metallic-textured finish. The phone is available in Midnight Black and Sandy Gold, both featuring a matte, smudge-resistant finish. Additionally, the Lake Green and Ocean Blue variants are inspired by nature, showcasing veined patterns that mimic rippling water.
For security, the Redmi A5 includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It is backed by a 5200mAh battery with 15W charging support, and Xiaomi guarantees strong battery health even after 1,000 charge cycles.

The Redmi A5 is priced starting at USD 79 (approximately Rs. 6,750), depending on the region, and is already available in several markets. In India, the device is set to launch as the POCO C71 later this week.
