Redmi K Pad confirmed 8.8-inch 165Hz 3K LCD Screen, Dimensity 9400+ SoC ahead of June 18 launch
Xiaomi's REDMI brand has officially unveiled the design of its first flagship compact tablet, the REDMI K Pad, after the teaser. The company has confirmed that the tablet will sport an 8.8-inch LCD screen. The rear design includes a single camera with an LED flash, a microphone positioned below the camera, and the text “Gamma Antenna” printed on the back. Volume buttons are located on the right side, while the power button sits on the top edge.
The teaser image highlights the purple colour variant, though additional color options are expected at launch. The REDMI K Pad has also appeared on Geekbench with the model number Xiaomi 25079RPDCC, revealing that it will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset, paired with 16GB of RAM and running Android 15. Benchmark scores suggest performance comparable to other tablets with the same chip, such as the iQOO Pad 5 Pro.
According to REDMI China head Thomas Wang, the tablet will feature one of the industry's top-tier LCD panels, offering ultra-high resolution and dual-driver ICs for synchronized data, brightness, and color management. To keep the device slim and lightweight, specialized components like motors, speakers, and the display have been carefully selected.
Reports indicate that the REDMI K Pad will feature a 3K resolution CSOT LCD panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 165Hz refresh rate. It is also expected to support 67W fast charging.
Xiaomi China president Lu Weibing is set to host a live broadcast on June 18th to share more details about the REDMI K Pad, REDMI K80 Ultra, Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro, and other upcoming devices ahead of their official launch later this month.
