Samsung has officially launched its latest budget smartphone in the Galaxy A series, the Galaxy A18 4G in France. The device is aimed at everyday users, with a focus on display quality, battery endurance, and long-term software support.
Display and Hardware Specifications
The Galaxy A18 4G features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with support for a refresh rate of up to 90Hz. It adopts a flat-edge design with rounded corners for improved handling, following Samsung’s familiar Galaxy design language. The smartphone also carries an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes.
Under the hood, the Galaxy A18 4G is powered by an Exynos 1610 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. This represents a shift from the MediaTek Helio G99 used in its predecessor. The device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 25W wired fast charging, which is rated to deliver a 50% charge in around 30 minutes.
Camera Capabilities and Software
For photography, the Galaxy A18 4G comes equipped with a triple rear camera setup led by a 50MP primary sensor. A 13MP front-facing camera is housed in the display cutout for selfies and video calls.
On the software front, the smartphone runs Android 17 with Samsung’s One UI 9.0 interface. It includes the updated Circle to Search feature for visual searches directly from the screen and offers native Google Gemini integration for natural-language tasks such as messaging and scheduling.
Samsung is also offering extended software support for the device. The Galaxy A18 4G is promised six generations of Android OS upgrades along with six years of regular security updates, which is notable for an entry-level smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy A18 4G is offered in three color options: Black, Grey, and Light Blue. The smartphone is available in a single configuration with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
