Samsung Galaxy A9 with 6-inch FHD display, massive 4000 mAh battery, fingerprint sensor official
Samsung's largest device in the Galaxy A series is now official with a 6-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display. The Galaxy A9 is the latest entrant in Samsung's upper mid-range series running on the recently rechristened Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor (Snapdragon 620 Cortex-A72 + Cortex-A53) with 3GB RAM, 32GB onboard expandable storage.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with TouchWiz on top. At the back you have a 13MP camera with Optical Image Stabilization, f/1.9 aperture lens and LED flash. There's an 8MP front-facing camera here as well. Just like the A8 you have the fingerprint sensor embedded within the home button.

Now the kicker here is the massive 4000 mAh battery on the Galaxy A9, which too supports fast charging. Which should be good enough to carry the massive smartphone for more than a day easily.
Connectivity options on the A9 include dual nano-SIM slots, 4G LTE support, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and NFC. The build of the Galaxy A9 is similar to the 2016 Galaxy A series line-up including a metal frame with glass front and back. The design looks very chic and Samsung has also reduced the bezel size quite a lot to under 2.74mm giving the device excellent screen-to-body ratio. Given that the Galaxy A9 has that massive battery it is still quite svelte at about 7.4mm and weighs in at 200 grams.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 will be available in white, gold and pink colors but at present there is no word on pricing or availability. It will be coming to India sometime next year.
