Samsung Galaxy S24+ Surfaced in benchmarks with Exynos 2400 SoC, Possible Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC Variant for India
We had previously observed performance benchmarks for the Galaxy S24 series phones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Now, benchmarks for the Galaxy S24+ (SM-S926B) equipped with the Exynos 2400 SoC have emerged, showcasing scores closely comparable to the Galaxy S24 Ultra (SM-S928B) powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Samsung Galaxy S24+ with Exynos 2400 -
The Exynos 2400-driven Galaxy S24+ exhibits single-core and multicore scores of 2193 and 6895, respectively, surpassing the earlier leaked scores of 2067 and 6520. This suggests that the Exynos chip is narrowing the performance gap with the flagship Snapdragon chip. However, real-world performance assessments are still pending.
The latest benchmark confirms a consistent 10-core CPU configuration, with a notable change in clock speeds. This includes a high-performance Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.21GHz, two Cortex-A720 cores at 2.9GHz, three Cortex-A720 cores at 2.6GHz, and four Cortex-A520 cores at 1.96GHz.
Notably, the Exynos 2400 is set to feature the Xclipse 940 GPU based on the AMD RDNA 3 architecture, offering remarkable ray tracing capabilities for an immersive gaming experience.
Will the Galaxy S24+ feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in India?
Despite initial speculations suggesting that the Galaxy S24 would be the exclusive model with an Exynos chip globally, recent benchmarks hint that the S24+ may also adopt this configuration.
Nevertheless, there is a rumor circulating that the Indian market will receive the Snapdragon variant of the S24+, with retailers as the alleged sources. However, there is a lack of benchmark data for this version, and the phone has not yet appeared in any certifications in India.
Galaxy S24 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy worldwide?
The benchmark results for the Galaxy S24 Ultra show impressive scores of 2297 in single-core and 7104 in multi-core performance, showcasing an improvement over the earlier scores of 2234 and 6807, respectively. According to rumors, it is speculated that the S24 Ultra will be launched globally in a single version powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
This unveils a significant detail: the primary Cortex-X4 core is now clocked at 3.4GHz, a slight increase from the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 3's 3.3GHz. This suggests the possibility of a dedicated Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 version specifically tailored for the Galaxy series this time.
