Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra may be equipped with a 50MP telephoto camera

Samsung Galaxy S24 camera specs leak.

Samsung is preparing to launch its upcoming flagship smartphone in the Galaxy S24 series a few months away, yet rumors are already circulating. A previous rumor indicated that the sole camera enhancement in the Galaxy S24 Ultra would involve slight improvements to the 10x zoom sensor.

Today, the well-known leaker Ice Universe has shared information suggesting that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature a 50MP telephoto camera with 3x zoom. This implies that both telephoto cameras will receive upgrades in the Ultra model next year.

As a reminder, the S23 Ultra boasts a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The enhanced camera resolution anticipates improvements in image and zoom quality for the S24 Ultra.

The company has been delving into continuous zoom lens technology for telephoto cameras; however, this innovation is not anticipated to feature in the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

According to reports, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to maintain its quad-camera arrangement and preserve the 200MP primary camera with the ISOCELL HP2 sensor. There is uncertainty regarding whether the ultra-wide camera will receive an upgrade, given that the company has exclusively utilized a 12MP ultra-wide camera.

Previous reports have indicated that Samsung might reintroduce Exynos chips (specifically, the Exynos 2400) with the Galaxy S24 series, marking a departure from the models of the current year. Further insights are anticipated to emerge in the upcoming months.
