Qualcomm has officially announced the dates for its ninth annual Snapdragon Summit, shortly after its Computex and Investor Day presentations. The event is scheduled to take place from September 22 to September 24, 2026, in Maui, Hawaii, where the company is expected to unveil its next generation of Snapdragon platforms.

Among the anticipated announcements is the 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 (SM8950). Reports suggest that Qualcomm is currently evaluating the standard variant with support for LPDDR5X memory. A higher-end Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro (SM8975) is also rumored to be in development, featuring LPDDR6 memory compatibility along with support for the latest UFS 5.0 storage standard.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro is expected to feature a next-generation 2+3+3 Oryon CPU architecture, a shared 16MB L2 cache, and an Adreno A850 GPU paired with 18MB of GMEM. Meanwhile, the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 is tipped to retain a similar CPU configuration while utilizing an Adreno A845 GPU with 12MB of GMEM.

Smartphones powered by these upcoming chipsets are expected to arrive soon after the announcement. The Xiaomi 18 series is likely to debut by the end of September, positioning itself against Apple's anticipated iPhone 18 Pro lineup, which is expected to launch earlier in the month. Other devices, including the iQOO 16 and the HONOR Magic9 series, are also rumored to adopt Qualcomm's latest flagship processor.

Details regarding the rumored Snapdragon X3 Elite platform remain limited, with no substantial leaks available so far. More information is expected to emerge in the months leading up to the Snapdragon Summit.
