Sony launches all new DSEE HX, LDAC capable Walkman, NW-A25, for the audiophile in you
Sony has launched its new Walkman in India, the NW-A25 which boasts of better wireless fidelity than its counterparts alongwith superb wired performance.
The NW-A25 Walkman gets support for LDAC wireless streaming via Bluetooth, and you can also pair it easily to your Bluetooth headset with NFC. Moreover the new Walkman can also play up to 24bit 192kHz Hi-Res audio.
Coming to some specs, you have a 2.2-inch QVGA (320x240 Pixels) display here, a headphone jack, a propitiatory WM-port to connect various accessories to your Walkman. FM Radio also comes built in but do require a headphone to be plugged in.
There's noise-cancellation available here too, a 5-band equalizer with presets for Rock, Pop, jazz, Dance, Soul, Bass Boost, Treble Boost along with two customizable settings. Apart from that you also have DSEE HX for upscaling your normal compressed MP3's to hi-res audio.
The Sony NW-A25 walkman comes with an inbuilt lithium-ion battery which charges in about 4 hours to give you about 50 hours of MP3 playback or about 30 hours of Hi-res audio playback. There's 16GB inbuilt storage out of which you will get 13.5GB of usable space, but fret not you have a microSD card slot here to expand the limited storage.
Pricing and Availability
The NW-A25 Walkman will span a huge chunk of the light spectrum in terms of availability of colors to choose from, starting with Viridian Blue, Cinnabar Red, Charcoal Black, Lime Yellow to Bordeaux Pink. Priced at Rs. 13,990, the new Sony Walkman is not meant for everyone but for the most avid music listener and anyone who appreciates un-compromised quality audio.
