Sony Xperia Z2a goes official with Snapdragon 801, 5-inch 1080p display, 20.7 MP camera
Sony has launched the international variant of the Xperia ZL2, the Xperia Z2a in Taiwan. It features a 5-inch 1080p Triluminous display with Sony's X-Reality engine, 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 SoC with 3 GB RAM running Android 4.4 KitKat right out of the box. It is worth nothing that the current Sony flagship, Xperia Z2 also runs on the same processor.
There's the 20.7 MP camera at the back which uses the company's 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS sensor, 4K video recording and a 3.1 MP front-facing camera. You also get 16 GB internal storage which is expandable upto 128 GB. The Xperia Z2a also comes with IP67 certification for dust and water resistance.
4G LTE comes standard on the Xperia Z2a with support for 700 MHz, 900 MHz and 1800 MHz frequencies. The Sony Xperia Z2a will be available in turquoise, black and white colors in Taiwan. At present there is no word on pricing, but we will know more before its July availability.
