Sygic & MapMyIndia GPS offline navigation app is now free on the Google Play Store
MapMyIndia has made the Sygic & MapMyIndia: GPS app free for Android on the Google Play Store. The app brings offline navigation with separate downloadable maps for each state, city guides from various providers as well as information from Wikipedia about destinations. The app also features turn by turn voice guided navigation, and provides accurate street level detail for navigation. Once you download the app and the maps for for the states you are navigating to, just turn on your GPS and you are ready to go, the app does not require an internet connection once the maps have been downloaded.
The Sygic & MapMyIndia offline navigation app also features drag and drop routing, calculation of three alternate routes to your destination, creating waypoints for the locations you want to visit. Moreover, everything's in 3D, including landscape, buildings for about 46 cities across India. The app used to cost about Rs. 199 in the Play Store, and is now free. Its a must have download if you fancy travelling to unknown locations, or are on the road more often than not. Here's the download link.
