TECNO SPARK 50s 5G launched in India starting at Rs. 19,999 with 6.78-inch 120Hz Display, Dimensity 6400 SoC, 6500mAh Battery

TECNO has officially launched its latest smartphone in the SPARK series, the TECNO SPARK 50s 5G in India, expanding its presence in the sub-Rs. 20,000 smartphone segment amid increasing memory and component costs. Designed for everyday use, the new smartphone emphasizes reliable connectivity, enhanced durability, and long-lasting battery performance.

Connectivity and Offline Communication Features

The TECNO SPARK 50s 5G prioritizes stable network performance, particularly in areas with weak signal reception. It features 4×4 MIMO antenna technology, which TECNO claims can deliver download speeds up to 82% faster. The phone also incorporates UPS 3.0 technology, designed to accelerate UPI payments by up to 2x under testing conditions, especially in crowded environments such as basements, transit stations, and busy marketplaces.

For situations where cellular connectivity is unavailable, the smartphone offers TECNO’s proprietary FreeLink feature. Under unobstructed, line-of-sight conditions, it supports point-to-point voice calls, text messages, and image sharing over distances of up to 1.5 km without requiring cellular reception or Wi-Fi. This feature is intended for users working across large areas, including warehouses, farms, and industrial facilities.

Durability, Display, and Design

The SPARK 50s 5G is available in two color options: Burgundy Red and Breeze Blue.

For improved durability, the handset carries an IP64 Pro rating for protection against dust and water splashes. It also complies with MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability standards, offering resistance to everyday drops, vibrations, and challenging environmental conditions. On the front, the smartphone features a 120Hz display for smoother scrolling and a more fluid viewing experience during video playback and daily use.

Battery Capacity and Software Features

The device packs a 6,500mAh battery and supports 45W wired fast charging, providing extended usage between charges with faster power replenishment.

The SPARK 50s 5G also includes several AI-powered tools and smart features:

• AI Noise Cancellation: Improves voice clarity during regular cellular calls, WhatsApp calls, and online conference sessions.
• Google Gemini Integration: Provides AI assistance for writing tasks, organizing activities, and answering general queries.
• Circle to Search: Allows users to search for text, images, and other on-screen content directly without switching between applications.
