Vivo V60 launching in India on August 12th with Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, ZEISS Optics, Slim 6500mAh Battery Design
Update - vivo has officially announced that the V60 smartphone will launch in India on August 12th. The device will feature a 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX766 sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with a Sony IMX882 sensor, and a 50MP front-facing camera. It also comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings for enhanced dust and water resistance.
The company has confirmed that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, offering up to a 27% increase in CPU performance, a 30% improvement in GPU power, and a 26% boost in gaming efficiency compared to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 used in the vivo V50.
Earlier - Vivo has begun teasing the launch of its upcoming V60 smartphone in India, the successor to the Vivo V50. The teaser highlights ZEISS optics and a remarkable zoom capability of up to 100x. According to Vivo, the V60 will be the slimmest smartphone in its class, featuring a 6500mAh battery. It will be offered in three colour options: Auspicious Gold, Moonlit Blue, and Mist Gray.
The teaser also reveals a triple rear camera setup, expected to include a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP 3x telephoto camera — along with a 50MP front-facing camera, similar to the vivo S30 launched in China.
Additionally, the phone will feature an equal-depth quad-curved display and is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, replacing the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 used in previous models.
Other expected specs include a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and continued support for IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, carried over from the V50.
The vivo V60 will be available via Flipkart, vivo India’s official online store, and offline retailers. More details are expected to be revealed soon.
