Vivo V70 and V70 Elite launched in India starting at Rs. 45,999 with 6.59-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 7 Gen 4/Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC
Vivo has officially launched its latest smartphones in the V70 series, the Vivo V70 and V70 Elite in India, following its earlier announcement. The V70 series features a 6.59-inch 1.5K curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 5000 nits.
Moving away from the bulky aesthetics typically associated with performance-focused smartphones, the V70 lineup adopts a sleek, flat-edge design for a more refined look.
- Form Factor - The 6.59-inch “Golden Grip” size is optimized for comfortable one-handed use while maintaining ample screen space.
- Build Quality - The devices are built with an aerospace-grade metal frame for added durability and feature ultra-slim 1.25mm side bezels to enhance the screen-to-body ratio.
- Color Options - The series introduces vibrant and premium finishes, including Passion Red across both models. The V70 is also available in Lemon Yellow, while the V70 Elite comes in Sand Beige and Authentic Black.
Camera -
According to Vivo, the V70 series represents a major upgrade in the V Series imaging system. Both models are equipped with advanced Sony sensors, fine-tuned with ZEISS optical technology.
- Telephoto Camera - A 50MP ZEISS Night Telephoto camera (Sony IMX882) offers 3X optical zoom and up to 100X digital zoom. It is optimized for low-light scenarios such as festivals and indoor events.
- Primary Camera - The 50MP ZEISS OIS main camera (Sony IMX766) features a 1.3 cm sensor designed to deliver accurate colors and improved stability during handheld photography.
- Video Capabilities - The smartphones support 4K 60fps video recording with smooth switching between 1X, 2X, and 3X zoom levels.
- AI Features - The V70 series includes a dedicated AI Photography Suite with features like AI Magic Weather and India-exclusive AI Holi Portrait, created specifically for local celebrations.
Performance -
In terms of performance, the V70 Elite is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Mobile Platform, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for high-end multitasking and gaming. The V70 continues with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, previously seen in the V60.
Both models support 4D game vibration through an X-axis linear motor and enable up to 90fps gameplay in BGMI. They also feature a 4200mm² vapor chamber cooling system for sustained performance.
The phones come with 3D Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanning and run OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Vivo promises four major OS updates and six years of security updates. Additionally, the V70 series retains IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. Powering the devices is a large 6500mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging.
