Vivo X300 Series could feature 200MP Camera, Dimensity 9500 SoC, and 50MP telephoto cameras
Vivo is gearing up to announce its next flagship smartphones in the X300 series, which is expected to launch later this year. These models are likely to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC. According to well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, the X300 models will feature a 200MP 1/1.4″ main camera, an upgrade over the 50MP Sony LYT-818 1/1.28″ sensor used in the X200 series.
Although earlier reports suggested that the phones would include a new 50MP 1/1.28″ LYT-828 sensor, this now appears to be inaccurate. The leak also indicates that the X300 will sport a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP IMX882 3X telephoto lens, along with a new optical focus prism module.
For reference, the Vivo X200 and X200 Pro Mini both featured a similar ultra-wide and telephoto setup. This time around, the X300 is expected to replace the Pro Mini variant and may include a 6.3-inch 120Hz OLED display, 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, wireless charging, and an IP68 + IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.
More information about the X300 series is likely to surface in the coming months, as the launch is expected in October.
