Vodafone launches 4G LTE service in Kochi
Vodafone India has begun rolling out 4G LTE services in India, starting with the port city of Kochi. The Indian carrier has chosen 1800 MHz band for Kochi, Kerala and would start the service from Monday onwards.
Vodafone will then move forward in increasing its 4G LTE coverage to Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi and Kolkata in its first phase. Testing of 4G services has already begun in these cities. Just like Airtel, Vodafone is offering 4G at the rates of 3G. Packs starts from Rs. 29 for 120MB data to 20GB for Rs. 2499.

Bharti Airtel had started its 4G LTE services earlier this year which now covers over 350 towns in India. Reliance Jio, is likely to start its 4G LTE voice and data services later in December while Idea Cellular will bring the service to 750 towns in the first half of 2016.
