Xiaomi 17T launching in India on June 4th with 144Hz display, Dimensity 8500 SoC, Leica cameras

Xiaomi has officially confirmed the launch of its upcoming smartphone in the Xiaomi 17 series, the Xiaomi 17T in India on June 4th. This follows the global debut of the device scheduled for May 28th at an event in Vienna.

While Xiaomi has only teased the Xiaomi 17T for the Indian market so far, the company is also expected to introduce the Xiaomi 17T Pro globally alongside it. More official details about the smartphone are expected to be revealed in the days leading up to May 26th.

Recently leaked press renders and specifications suggest that the Xiaomi 17T could feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K+ flat LTPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 processor.

The phone is also expected to pack a Leica-branded triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP 5X periscope telephoto lens. Additional expected features include IP68 dust and water resistance, along with a 6500mAh typical battery supporting 67W HyperCharge fast charging.

Following the launch, the Xiaomi 17T will be available through mi.com, Amazon.in, and offline retail stores.
