Dual-camera Xiaomi Mi 5X launched, running MIUI 9 powered by Snapdragon 625
Xiaomi has just launched its new dual-camera Xiaomi Mi 5X smartphone in China. The new Android Nougat smartphone runs on the Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage.
Xiaomi Mi 5X Specifications
The highlight of the phone is its curvy metal design with a fingerprint-resistive coating, and rear mounted fingerprint sensor. The Xiaomi Mi 5X also packs the same dual 12MP cameras as the Mi 6. There is support for high-quality audio as well with DHS Audio Calibration.
The antenna bands too are hidden away similar to the iPhone 7 Plus. The phone is powered by MIUI 9 which is based on Android 7.0 Nougat and brings a lot of new features. You get Xiaomi's own Smart Assistant, image search, improved file system and a lot more.
The dual-SIM smartphone has a 5.5-inch 1080p display up front which is covered in 2.5D curved glass. You will get 4G VoLTE support, dual-band WiFiac, GPS, USB Type-C port for data syncing and charging along with a 2.5mm headphone jack here. Sensors on the Mi 5X include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, infrared, gyroscope, magnetic field sensor and proximity sensor.
Xiaomi Mi 5X Price
The Xiaomi Mi 5X has been priced at CNY 1,499 (roughly Rs. 14500 or USD 220). It will come in Black, Gold and Pink color options. There is just one variant available, 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. The phone will be going on sale in China on August 1st, registrations for the sale are already open.
