Xiaomi has sold 600,000 units of the Redmi Note 3 in India in just 2 months
Over just the last two months, Xiaomi has sold over 600,000 units of the Redmi Note 3 in India.
The Redmi Note 3 was an instant success for the company given the capable hardware, solid build and good design. The only perpetual issue with Xiaomi devices is their availability which is still plaguing the Redmi Note 3, especially the 3GB RAM variant which always gets sold out within seconds.
But even with the stock shortage Xiaomi has been able to sell 6 lakh units of the Redmi Note 3 within just 60 days of launch.
At the time there was no possible competition to the RN3, but with recent launches including the Lenovo ZUK Z1, Meizu M3 Note, Galaxy J5/J7 2016 and the Moto G4 today, it would be difficult to maintain the same momentum.
Tides can turn in Xiaomi's favor if they are able to procure enough stock for a "real" open sale for the 3GB RAM variant. This is still a huge record for the company, especially given that they only sell phones online and yet haven't tapped much into the tier-2, tier-3 markets.
