Xiaomi Sound Play launched Globally with 18W high-power speaker, IP68 ratings, Multi-Speaker Sync

Xiaomi has expanded its global ecosystem portfolio with the launch of the Xiaomi Sound Play alongside the Xiaomi Watch S5. Designed around Xiaomi’s Red Dot Award-winning Sound aesthetic, the new portable speaker combines powerful audio performance, interactive lighting effects, and a durable, travel-friendly form factor wrapped in premium fabric.

The Xiaomi Sound Play delivers up to 18W of audio output, engineered to provide rich, room-filling sound for a variety of everyday activities, including fitness sessions, morning routines, outdoor events, and leisure listening.

To enhance the listening experience, the speaker features a dual ambient lighting system comprising an infinity mirror light on the top panel and a surrounding light ring at the base. Users can choose from five colour effects and three lighting modes—Drumbeat, Water Ripple, and Always-On—to match different environments and moods.

For a wider soundstage, the speaker supports True Wireless Stereo (TWS), allowing two Xiaomi Sound Play units to function as dedicated left and right channels. It also features Auracast™ party mode, which can synchronize audio and lighting across up to 100 compatible speakers, making it suitable for large gatherings and events.

Built to withstand outdoor conditions, the Xiaomi Sound Play comes with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, offering protection against rain, dust, and sand. The speaker houses a 2,600mAh battery that provides up to 14 hours of playback on a single charge and can be fully recharged in approximately 2.5 hours.
